T Minus 12 and Counting...

Tuesday evening and the countdown is ON! At work we are in pods of three to four people. I work in a pod with just two others. Whenever one of us takes ANY time off, we make sure that everyone in the department knows that we will be out of the office...on vacation. We even get to the point where we start giving hours remaining and not just the number of days or half-days and remind them SEVERAL times in the day.

A typical exchange might be: "Hey, I'm going to be on vacation soon." Then a couple of hours later it might be heard: "Hey, did you hear that I'll be leaving for vacation on Friday?" Or, maybe, "I don't want you to forget that I'll be out of the office...on vacation." And so on.

Well, I am now down to counting the work hours I have left before I am officially...on vacation. I am trying to get everything in order so I can take a half day on Thursday and then all Friday and next week.

So, with that being said, my countdown work hours left is ... 12!!!

My toes are already thinking about that nice warm Gulf water........
