I guess I would like to say THANK YOU to entrepreneur John Hall. Who is John Hall? He is the creator of a baby diaper disposal system, otherwise known as the Diaper Genie. You might have a quizzical look on your face after reading that statement. You might have chuckled out loud thinking that I've finally lost my marbles (not much to lose by the way). Or, you might have a light bulb moment in knowing where I'm going with this.
I'm sure that all those with younger aged children will know just what a Diaper Genie is. For those of you that are of an older generation that never had the opportunity to know/use one, it is an invaluable devise. The unit consists of a large plastic container with a plastic lid. The system seals diapers individually in a scented film to protect against germs and odors. By opening the lid on the top of the canister, a soiled diaper may be inserted into the "mouth" of the container. After inserting the diaper, the lid is replaced and twisted 3 full rotations to seal the diaper inside. After the container is filled with dirty diapers, it can be emptied by unlatching the bottom of the canister, where the diapers fall out still individually sealed like sausage links.

We are the proud users of a Diaper Genie! After the typical form of disposing (putting it into a small silver plastic bag that comes with Chuck's ostomy supplies and putting it in the garbage can in the garage), we discovered that flies found their way into the can even though the lid was closed. (I want to give a huge THANK YOU to Scott for being the brave one in cleaning said trash can of all the creepy crawlies that were born in that environment.) Needless to say, we had to find an alternative. Hence, our Diaper Genie. No odor. No mess. No walking it through the house. And, more importantly, NO MAGGOTS! (This was the reason for the R rating - visuals can be gruesome!)
So with that said, let me put a much better visual in your mind with tonight's Florida picture. Enjoy THIS one and NOT the other!
