Speechless

It's not often that I am rendered speechless. However, I want to share a moment from today when I was just that - speechless.

There was a delivery man that came into work today with a box of flowers. All of the women become VERY interested when they see a florist box as they are hoping, deep down, that it is for them. When I heard my name being called, I thought of all the special occasions that it could be but could think of none - birthday in January, Mother's Day earlier in the month, anniversary in June, Christmas later in the calendar.

So I very carefully open the box looking for the card to find out who was the secret giver. When I found it, here is what it said:
Cyndy,
I know it seems that all the attention is focused on someone elses rear right now, but that doesn't mean we've forgotten about yours!

Just a little color to bring the focus back to where it belongs...your smile!
Ken, Claude, Jerry & Pete

I was overcome with kindness from these four men from work who have all been a part of this cancer fighting process - asking me how Chuck is doing, listening to my "tails" of woe, and just being there for support.

This show of support meant a lot to me. When I told my mother about my flowers, she said that often times the care giver focuses so much on the patient that they overlook their own needs. I think that these four wonderful friends saw that and responded in a beautiful and much appreciated way.

So Ken, Claude, Jerry and Pete, again, THANK YOU FOR YOUR THOUGHTFULNESS!

You saw the wave runner last night with the guys. This is what we saw in the sky later that same day! Looks like a wave runner for angels! What do you think?
