Happy Belated Mother's Day

It's been a while since I last posted an entry. I've been busy with work and home and have just been too tired. So, I find myself sending belated well wishes to all the mothers out there that will read this. I hope all of your days were filled with joy and laughter and you we surrounded by love!

We have finished THREE WEEKS of C&R. Chuck is starting to feel the effects of his procedures - more blood in the bathroom and very tired during the day. He took the trash out to the curb tonight and his energy was taxed after three trips. We are very thankful that Scott is here to do the mowing! In the past it would take Chuck about 45 minutes to mow the lawn. In the state that he's in now, he wouldn't be able to do it. Plus, we'd have to slather on the sunscreen as he would probably burn within 10 minutes. Then, I'd be married to a "lobster" (that's with an L not an M). While I enjoy eating lobster, I don't think I could enjoy THAT specific type!

Chuck purchased our airplane tickets to Florida today. We are going down to visit Brian, Lauren and Tyler for June 3-8. We felt strongly that we spend time with them prior to the surgery since they won't be able to come up. Chuck and I also need some time to unwind after the C&R and gather strength before surgery. Plus, we want to see their new place!

Speaking of surgery...the date has been set. The BIG day will be June 24th. So, now, we are all focusing on the end of next month. He will probably be in the hospital for4-5 days and then a few weeks at home. After that, we're waiting for the doctors to let us know.

Well, it's late and tomorrow is another day! (Profound, huh?) We'll meet back here soon! Night!

I'm glad you've got your tickets and are ready to come down to FL for a visit. We're all looking forward to seeing you! Don't forget the sunscreen!
